WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Myrrh Cat is an amber smell that combines apothecary herbs with resins.

Myrhh is a classic ingredient that has been used in perfumery and medicine. Many associate myrhh as one of the resins being burned as incense which ends up shaping how many myrhh perfume stories are told.  I love those incense compositions in perfumery but wanted to challenge myself to go in a different direction. I wanted to highlight one of the uses of myrrh in traditional herbalism in Asia. 

My inspiration comes from a recipe that is promised to expedite recovery.  It calls for Carthamus, Myrrh, Betel, Dragon's Blood and Deer Musk.  I decided to recreate this recipe but make it vegan and combined it with materials that brightens the composition into something wearable.

This scent was to highlight how different cultures intregrate these plants into their lives.  The smell starts with the bright and zesty scents of Bergamot and Catnip before it goes into a resinous sweet amber that has an ancient apothecary feel to the heart.  The gingseng brings it to an herbal tea feel at times and I hope you enjoy!

Concentration: 20.7 % Perfume + 12% Tinctures
