Jade Phoenix [Mint, Rose & Frankincense]

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Jade Phoenix is my personal project to rewrite "self-hate"

GREEN OIL accord is inspired by Green Eagle Oil which is a medicinal oil rub that smells like tigerbalm without the camphor.  My family used this whenever we are sick, have headaches, arthritis, any ailments really.. I associated with being weak and old but one day I saw those outside my culture say how much they love the scent.  They see the green oil as something beautiful.  This was mind blowing for me at the time and I wanted to redo my memory and associations with it by working with the accord directly.

I used Menthol, Wintergreen, Eucalyptus, and Rose as the main accord that is used in green oils that my family used.  I wanted to add texture using used Resins, Sandalwood, Frankincense, and Valencia Orange to incorporates golden shine to represent the phoenix being reborn.  

It became an interesting atmospheric blend.  It starts green and medicinal, may be polarizing to some.. but then it transforms into a mystical airy amber scent that is addictive.

I'm so glad that when I visited Vietnam everyone enjoyed and appreciated this scent.  Those in the US may have the bad associations still but I challenge you to revisit that profile and remember how much it has helped you in the past.  Instead of pain and injury, now i think about reliability and regalness.
