CHARMED [Lavender Forest, Dark Fruity Chypre - Prosperity Spell]

WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?

Charmed is a fragrance inspired by a love and prosperity herbal preparation

This scent was originally a gift I created for a waitress of my favorite Pho Restaurant when I lived in the Arts District of Los Angeles.   We saw her every lunch break at the pho restaurant and at dinner I would see her at a different restaurant across town.   She was always smiling and kind to us so I wanted to make something she would enjoy.   She told me that she stopped wearing fragrances when she started working in the food industry because she felt like all perfumes became a bit bland and didn't smell great with the aromas of spices and oils that were present at work.  I told her I can create something that she can wear at work and enjoy.

I wanted to combine a few aspects of my interest into this scent project.

1. Traditional Vietnamese herbalism that my family practiced.  I decided to include a tincture of herbs that we would burn to bring in good luck and prosperity.  We would do this every new year and at the start of every project to make sure we have the best things coming to us
2. US green magick.  I incorporated a love & prosperity spell that is commonly prepared using berries. sweets and spices. The use of Pine Needles and Woods give the wearer protection while the Rose, Spices and Pepper gives the wearer strength to receive whatever they desire.
3. video games.  the structure of the perfume is inspiared by Evelyn from LoL.   The character has silver hair and wears all purple. She cloaks herself and moves through the jungle .The opening has Spearmint and Lavender which gives a cold icy feel to the opening that gives brightness.  This is to represent her white silvery locks which also brings a strong contrast to the mid and base of the scent story.   It goes into deep purple scents.  Lavender, Violets, and wine gives an mystical fruity floral blend that gets darken by Oud, Black frankincense and amber notes.   
   
   
   

I'm not completely sure how well green magick works in fragrances but I decided to tincture the plants during the waxing moon where it gradually grows fuller to reinforce the intentions of the spell.   

I incorporated all the materials and filtered them during the full moon.  It became a scent that I love to gift.  I especially enjoy smelling this in the air in the morning as I drink my coffee getting ready for a new day.  I hope this has a chance to bringing positivity to your routine.
